I Love Fall

Vickie acquired tickets to the Women's Conference, so Dawn and I went with her, and we had a great day. Lunch at Maddox, hit a couple of fabric stores, a wonderful conference, and dinner at Spaghetti Factory. What more could we want? And then Dawn and Vickie captured chickens, so that I could take them to a new Idaho home. They are so brave!
So I made a little chicken wall quilt, with my new purchases, in honor of the occasion.
The Elder's came for dinner tonight, so of course, I had to make dessert. I must stop making desserts one of these days. But I have been wanting to try this Apple Cranberry Torte. I must say it turned out very well. At least, we all ate it up!
Would you like a piece?

Family Reunion

Adrienne planned the family reunion for the second weekend in August, at her house. We had a good time. Here are our "triplets".Lots of little ones, having so much fun. The weather was good.
And the talent show was awesome.
Adrienne planned wonderful food, with a little help from her friends.
They look like they get along just fine!
Thanks, Adrienne.......

Parents

Greg's Dad passed away on Aug. 28. Here are the four brothers ready for the funeral. And some of the cousins. They sang "My Heavenly Father Loves Me" during the services.
The military rites were very touching.
Earlier this summer, Mom and I took a little trip to SLC, and while there, stopped to see her brother, Ned. He was very pleased to see us.
Mom with some of the great-grandkids, at my house.

July 24th

I was the chairman to organize the community 24th of July Celebration. I delegated everything, so it wasn't a bad job. We fed everyone Navajo tacos, had chili and dessert contests, and lots of activities. The horse ride was popular. Avery looks like a real cow-girl! Later in the day, we went to Dawn's where we had a mini-family reunion, since lots of out-of-towners were in town! These boys look like trouble, but really there was no trouble.
Lots of kids, and lots of good food.
More kids, with an emphasis on boys!
Back to Braden, playing Nauvoo games at the community celebration.

Summer Things Catch-up

Jamie had me come to her Relief Society in June and teach a class about quilting. There were some very enthusiastic and fun ladies there, happy to learn what I could teach them. Caleb went with me, and we had lunch, and then a treat, hanging out with Nick for a while. We had a good day.
Greg likes to dress up like a bee-keeper and check on his beehive.
Rhya had a great birthday party in August. She is getting so big!
