This is one big quilt! I made the top from nickels (five inch squares exchanged with a group) several years ago, and decided to have it quilted. If you save up your piano teaching money for long enough, you can afford that once in a while. It is very scrappy, and very big. Machine quilted by LeAnn.
And then this little cherry tablerunner is part machine- part hand-quilted. cute, huh?

Happy Easter
Greg bought this little entry way piece of furniture for me, just cause I asked.
It is small so it fits nicely. The top is marble. Come hang your hat!

See for Yourself
This is the signature quilt we made for Dad, so that he knows that he is loved. Each one in the family signed a block, I pieced them together, and Dawn quilted it with minkee on the back. (I think it made his recovery from cancer surgery so much easier!)
I left this quilt with the quilter (Delene) while we were in Nauvoo, and when I got back it was magically done! I love it.
This was made from a charm square packet, so easy, and I just machine tacked each intersection for the quilting. I wonder who will get this one?

Quilts, What Else?
I have decided to use this space to record the quilts I am working on, as well as a few other events. It took me a while to get back into sewing after coming home from Nauvoo, with the holidays and all.
This is a table mat I made to demonstrate curved piecing. During the winter's cold evenings I hand-quilted it, and then bound it with bias binding.
We also had a project to paint and re-carpet our bedroom this winter. So of course I needed a new quilt for my own bed. That doesn't happen very often. This simple pattern was easy to piece, and it looks good on the bed. Dawn quilted it for me, and I love it.
Watch for more additions...................

Pedicures
The day before my Mom left to go back to Washington, we went in for pedicures. Her foot was better, and Mary Dawn did a great job at her beauty school. The only problem is, I want one every day!

My Mom's Visit
If your foot looks like this, it is a spider bite, and you had better get to the doctor quickly! My Mom is here visiting for a couple of weeks, and we took her to the emergency room. It is now improving, but it was miserable for a while........She is pretty tough, so that didn't slow her down much. She loved reading to all these lovely great-grandchildren. She kept them all enthralled, and they DO love books. Who do you think started that?
From left to right, we have Weston, Rhya, Mary, Joshua, Travis, Casey, and Braden.

The Year of Three Baby Boys.......
Let me introduce: Oliver, Joshua, and Truman.
We had fun getting these babies together, and it would be interesting to put "thought bubbles", and hear what each one is thinking. What do you think they are saying?
And, here are the Moms................And the proud grandma. The babies can all smile, but they don't think it is important right now.
